The press-mark is C. 34. a. 44.\nThe copy in the Bodleian Library was part of the\nbequest of Thomas Caldecott and reached the Library in\n1833 (Malone 892). The leaves have been much cut by the\nbinder. The measurements are y.Vx It-^\" -\nThere is a copy in the Lenox Library in the New York\nPublic Library which has been cut close at top and bottom.\nThis was probably the one priced by the bookseller Rodd.\nin his catalogue of 1837 at four guineas, and may be that\nsold with the Venus and Adonis of \\6i6 and other poetical\ntracts at the sale of Thomas Pearson's library in 1788.\nThe copy formerly in the library of Frederick Locker\nLampson, of Rowfant, now belongs to Mr. E. Dwight Church,\nof New York. Measuring y-^\" x 3I-\" and being bound\nby Riviere, it was formerly in the library of Frederick Ouvry.\nIt is cut in the lower margin. It was bought in the\nOuvry sale, in 188 2, by Bernard Quaritch, for £is \"^ OJ\"- o^-?\nand shortly afterwards went to Rowfant. It passed to the\npresent owner early in 1905-.\nO^ the edition of 1^24, in small octavo, six copies are\nnow traceable, of which only two are now in England, and\nboth of these are in the British Museum. The text with\nlist of contents and marginal notes follows that oi 1616. The\nsignatures are the same, and the leaves number thirty-two,\nwithout pagination.
