Even the very\nheadings to the scenes breathe of dear, lovely English\nscenery — ^ Windsor Park ' — 'A field near Frogmore.'\nThey talk, too, of Datchet Lane ; and Sir John Falstaff\nis 'slighted into the river.' And, with this, come\nthronging visions of the ' silver Thames,' and some of\nthose exquisite leafy nooks on its banks, with the caw-\ning of rooks ; and its little islands, crowned with the\ndark and glossy-leaved alder ; and barges lapsing on its\ntranquil tide. To crown all, the story winds up with a\nplot to meet in Windsor Park at midnight, to trick the\nfat knight beneath ' Heme's oak.'
