I wouldn't object. What gets me about D.B., though, he hated the war so\nmuch, and yet he got me to read this book A Farewell to Arms last summer. He said it\nwas so terrific. That's what I can't understand. It had this guy in it named Lieutenant\nHenry that was supposed to be a nice guy and all. I don't see how D.B. could hate the\nArmy and war and all so much and still like a phony like that. I mean, for instance, I don't\n\n<!-- [Page 76](arke:01KG6FHSKKJGHCEDQ9B508P2X0) -->\nsee how he could like a phony book like that and still like that one by Ring Lardner, or\nthat other one he's so crazy about, The Great Gatsby. D.B. got sore when I said that, and\nsaid I was too young and all to appreciate it, but I don't think so. I told him I liked Ring\nLardner and The Great Gatsby and all. I did, too. I was crazy about The Great Gatsby.\nOld Gatsby. Old sport. That killed me. Anyway, I'm sort of glad they've got the atomic\nbomb invented. If there's ever another war, I'm going to sit right the hell on top of it. I'll\nvolunteer for it, I swear to God I will.","title":"Chunk 5"},"relationships":[{"peer":"01KG6FV1MSFNFB4DZE3SZQJND1","peer_type":"chapter","predicate":"in"},{"peer":"01KG6FT59BXAZ3C5HRJ6SW8F58","peer_type":"file","predicate":"extractedFrom"},{"peer":"01KFF1K6A8V452X8SQKY55DD16","peer_type":"collection","predicate":"collection"},{"peer":"01KG6FVKJPYG8HMCN6G5B6CNKN","peer_type":"chunk","predicate":"prev"}],"ver":2,"created_at":"2026-01-30T03:41:25.973Z","ts":"2026-01-30T03:41:31.125Z","edited_by":{"method":"manual","user_id":"01KFF0H3YRP9ZSM033AM0QJ47H"}}
