{"id":"01KG2TYP98P7E1592WVSSB8NNR","cid":"bafkreifrkfvacxke6nsyquymd5fceaw6abdm4zotzbmrevwozrl5h33aiq","type":"chapter","properties":{"end_line":1357,"extracted_at":"2026-01-28T17:38:22.113Z","extracted_by":"structure-extraction-lambda","label":"Genesis 17:1","source_file":"01KG2T4RGFNHVF08APV5NRS5AD","start_line":1271,"text":"17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared\r\nto Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me,\r\nand be thou perfect.\r\n\r\n17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will\r\nmultiply thee exceedingly.\r\n\r\n17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, 17:4\r\nAs for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a\r\nfather of many nations.\r\n\r\n17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name\r\nshall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.\r\n\r\n17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations\r\nof thee, and kings shall come out of thee.\r\n\r\n17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed\r\nafter thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a\r\nGod unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.\r\n\r\n17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land\r\nwherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an\r\neverlasting possession; and I will be their God.\r\n\r\n17:9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore,\r\nthou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.\r\n\r\n17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and\r\nthy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.\r\n\r\n17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall\r\nbe a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.\r\n\r\n17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you,\r\nevery man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or\r\nbought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.\r\n\r\n17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy\r\nmoney, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your\r\nflesh for an everlasting covenant.\r\n\r\n17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is\r\nnot circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath\r\nbroken my covenant.\r\n\r\n17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not\r\ncall her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.\r\n\r\n17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I\r\nwill bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people\r\nshall be of her.\r\n\r\n17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his\r\nheart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old?\r\nand shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
